The main role of the media specialist at Wakefield High School is to facilitate the responsible use of information resources .  We collaborate with teachers, design lessons, and provide instruction to whole groups and to individual students.  We keep abreast of the newest technology trends and encourage the use of technology and applications whenever these can enhance learning.  We provide staff development and individual teacher training on new applications and technology.  We serve as administrators for Canvas, Google Apps for Education, Discovery Education, and many more. 

 

Our goal is to provide students with the skills and knowledge to prepare them for a succesful post high school life, whether it be college or career.
